An exhibition of jury-selected teen artwork and a program of original creative writing readings by Massachusetts' teens whose writing, poetry, artwork, and photography are published in The Marble Collection's award-winning Massachusetts High School Magazine of the Arts.
Spring into Art is a celebration of Massachusetts' students, grades 8 to 12, whose writing, poetry, artwork, and photography are published in The Marble Collection's online and print magazine. The gala will feature an exhibition and sale of jury-selected teen artwork and a program of teens reading their original creative writing, emceed by educator, writer, and performer, Krysten Hill. The gala also includes a raffle, performances by UMass Boston's student jazz ensemble and Slam Poetry Society, as well as the presentation of awards to two Massachusetts public high school teachers for their outstanding support of the arts. The exhibition of teen artwork will remain in the Harbor Gallery from May 15 to May 21, 2017 and is open to the public. Teens, their families and friends, educators, and members of the community at large are invited to attend. Creative semi-formal attire is encouraged. H'or deuvres and drinks will be served.
